A fiberglass mannequin was ‘chopped and channeled’ to make a surrealist table. The glass top was custom made as was the bird of paradise core and splash puddle stand and Euclidian blocks.
While looking around for a different material to get more dimensionality into my table projects a Chalk Festival centerpiece sculpture was underway by master sculptor Kumpa. I got to carve some of the EPS foam and contribute to a large public art piece.
A 60’ tall glass mosaic was proposed to be made in a 6 story parking garage atrium. The 10’ x 10’ vignettes tell the story of the opera, circus, famous mansions, marine research and key features of the surrounding tropical community for all to be made aware.
